FOREST DEVELOPMENT


Plantation and Forestry

The project staff along with villagers approached to the Thasildar and identified land 157 acres in the name of community in 4 villagers. and the plantation was completed by august and handed over to the forest protection committee.

Family Forestry

Family forestry education was given to the villagers and 100 families from 10 new villages were selected and supplied 5 varieties of plants Guava, Mango, Pomegranate, Lemon, and custard apple. One orchard was also developed in the villages.

Minor Forest Produce

The women groups are encouraged and trained in collection of minor forest produce Siadi leaves and tamarind from the local forest. The group members were were collected tamarind. processed and marketed in the local market.
